Lufthaven ("Kontrol — Live Wait Times") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information.

• No account or login required
• No email, name, or contact information collected
• No location data collected
• No cookies on the website beyond essential functionality

Analytics

The iOS app uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We track:

• Screen views (e.g. which airports are most popular)
• Feature usage (e.g. whether people use widgets, Live Activities, or Siri)
• Onboarding completion rates
• App open/background/install events

All analytics data is anonymous— we use a randomly generated device identifier, not your Apple ID, email, or any personal information. We do not track your location, browsing history, or any data outside the app. You can opt out of analytics in the app's Settings screen.

Data Stored on Your Device

The iOS app stores your preferences (pinned airports, PreCheck status, temperature unit) locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults) and iCloud Keychain (for an anonymous device identifier that persists across reinstalls). This data is not transmitted to any server except the anonymous identifier used for analytics.

Third-Party Services

The app and website use the following third-party services:

• PostHog — Anonymous product analytics. Data is processed in the US/EU. Subject to PostHog's Privacy Policy.
• Apple WeatherKit— Weather data is fetched using Apple's WeatherKit framework, which uses airport coordinates (not your personal location) to retrieve weather information. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Lufthaven API — Airport security wait times, weather (METAR), and flight delay data are fetched from our own API servers. No personal data is sent with these requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any personal data with third parties. Anonymous analytics data is processed by PostHog as described above.

Children's Privacy

Our service does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
