Lufthaven in your AI assistant

Lufthaven is an iPhone flight tracker that shows whether your flight will have Starlink Wi-Fi, live airport security and immigration waits, and the FAA takeoff queue.

Add it to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or any assistant that takes an MCP server, then ask about your flights in the chat. This is the server’s address:

Tools

  • travel_status

    Travel status

Whether you are flying now or soon, and the flight that matters most right now: in the air, boarding, the next departure or just landed.

    Needs sign-in

  • my_flights

    My flights

Up to 20 of your saved flights still to come or underway, soonest first, with status, gates, terminals, delay, the incoming plane and the security wait at departure.

    Needs sign-in

  • add_flight

    Add a flight

Saves a flight you booked, so Lufthaven tracks it on your iPhone and alerts you. It does not buy, change or cancel a booking.

    Needs sign-in

  • search_flights

    Search flights and fares

Fares for a trip from Google Flights, with stops, flight numbers, times, aircraft, a Starlink guess for each leg and a Google Flights link to book.

    No sign-in needed in ChatGPT

  • starlink_check

    Starlink on a flight

Whether a flight will have Starlink Wi-Fi (yes, likely, not likely or no), the reason and how to get on. Give a flight and date, a tail number, or an airline and aircraft type.

    No sign-in needed in ChatGPT

  • flight_status

    Any flight’s status

What any flight is doing now, by flight number and date or by tail number: status, gates, times, delay, the aircraft, the incoming plane and its position in the air.

    Needs sign-in

  • route_flights

    Flights on a route

Up to 40 flights between two airports on a day, soonest first, each with status, times and delay, and which are in the air now.

    Needs sign-in

Each connected assistant can save up to 30 flights a day, and make 50 lookups a day with flight_status and route_flights together. Days are in UTC.

Add to ChatGPT

  1. Turn on developer mode

On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.

  2. Create the app

In Settings, then Apps, select Create. Name it Lufthaven, enter https://lufthaven.app/mcp as the MCP server URL, choose OAuth and select Create.

  3. Ask about a flight

Fare search and the Starlink check work straight away. For your own flights, ChatGPT asks you to sign in to Lufthaven.

OpenAI offers developer mode for Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, on chatgpt.com only: apps added this way don’t appear in the ChatGPT phone app. On Business, an admin turns it on. On Pro it allows only read-only tools, which leaves out add_flight and flight_status. See OpenAI’s help on developer mode.

Add to Claude

Add to Claude
  1. Open Customize, then Connectors

On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app. The button above opens this with the name and address filled in.

  2. Add a custom connector

Select Add custom connector, name it Lufthaven, enter https://lufthaven.app/mcp and select Add. If Claude asks how it should identify itself, choose Register automatically.

  3. Connect

Select Connect and allow Lufthaven on your iPhone. In a chat, turn Lufthaven on from the + menu, under Connectors.

Once added, Lufthaven works in Claude on the web, on the desktop and on your phone. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds it in Organization settings, then Connectors.

Add to Grok

  1. Open grok.com/connectors

    Select New Connector, then Custom.

  2. Enter the address

Enter https://lufthaven.app/mcp as the MCP server URL.

  3. Connect

Sign in when Grok asks, and allow Lufthaven on your iPhone.

Other assistants

Any assistant that takes a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in can use https://lufthaven.app/mcp.

For an assistant that connects from a message, such as Muse, open Settings, then Assistants, in Lufthaven. Choose the assistant and send the message the app writes. It carries your personal link, an MCP address that needs no sign-in, so keep it to yourself. An assistant that can open web pages but can’t add an MCP server can open the same link to read your flights.

Signing in

ChatGPT asks you to sign in the first time you ask about your own flights. Other assistants ask when you add Lufthaven.

  1. A Lufthaven page opens

On your iPhone, tap Open Lufthaven. On a computer, scan the page’s QR code with your iPhone.

  2. Tap Allow in Lufthaven

Lufthaven shows which assistant is asking and what it can do.

  3. You’re back in the assistant

The page moves on by itself once you allow it.

The assistant can see the flights you’ve saved and save new flights for you. It can’t remove flights, change your account or change a booking. To disconnect it, open Settings, then Assistants, in Lufthaven; its access ends at once.

Connecting an assistant needs the Lufthaven app on your iPhone. Free to download. A membership is required to use the app: $8.99 a week (first week $0.99), $19.99 a month or $89.99 a year.

What is shared

  • For your flights, the assistant receives the ones you saved that are still to come or underway: flight number, airports, times, status, gate, terminal, delay, the incoming plane and the security wait at departure.
  • It does not receive your name, email address, contacts, payment details or your phone’s location.
  • Lufthaven receives the name the assistant gives itself and what each tool is asked: flight numbers, dates, airports and tail numbers. It does not receive your conversation.
  • A fare search sends only the trip (airports, dates and cabin) to our fare search, which reads Google Flights.

The privacy policy covers what is stored and for how long.
